#19

The Moon resides in me.

I celebrate the moon.

Waning sleep cycle

Of a goddess,

Receding for comfort,

Needing stillness

And the small voice

quiet in shadows

speaks to me,

hibernating cells

Relinquishing fire,

A fragile unshelling

Waiting to come out

fully

awakened,

my surging ocean moving

Across sands and pebbled beaches,

An expanding heart

Gathering points of light

A pulsating

Chakra orb,

A constellation of stars

And synoptic sparks

on fire.

Goddess Divine

Light

From the Goddess,

Divine Luminescence,

An ancient awakening

In my words,

In my thoughts,

In my understanding

Creative energy,

Billowing heart, sacred mind,

Translucent water

runs through me,

Is me,

Is her.

Venus Haiku and Haiku Healing

IMG_20140404_053633_727-1

Day 4: Venus Haiku

There she is again

Sweet pulsating sensation

Heaven’s deity

You have always been

Ahu of my horizon

Venus of my heart.

Day 5: haiku healing

Teach me to be healed

My fibers are your fibers

Green earthly petals

Raining Again: Fourth Ode Allusion

IMG_20140303_064335_333-1-1

It’s raining,

A steady pattering, drumming, pounding, dripping,

An opulent message from the most divine,

Aphrodite’s heart-beat on the land,

Love’s Law binding an earthly exchange,

Earth and sky, fire and water,

Lips and tongues, soul and mind,

Her swelling heart welcoming the rain,

Those glittering eyes of desire,

Guided by the Goddess’ own hand,

To embers stoked in immortal power,

Sacred water at the lips of Earth’s warm embrace,

An insatiable heat, an unstoppable blood throb,

An impatient tongue’s taste for fire,

Fate reigning on tangled hearts,

A destiny set at birth,

Stars aligned for an eternity,

Love’s Law storming at the gates of love’s free will

In libation to her thirst.

I Could Have Fed You Flowers

IMG_20130701_204410_551

I could have fed you flowers

on a Sunday morn

still sleepy with the folds of night,

or gather you softly in the smell of rain,

to bring the petrichor of heavens to your lips,

let you sip the nectar of the Goddess,

a sweet luminescence of moonbeams,

an iridescent palette of the Universe,

a fragrant opulence of dreams.

I could have brought you forests in a bowl,

spoon bites of light, and limbs, and roots, and pungent earth,

Could have brought you the tranquil sea,

or the pastel sky,

or a river dancing, swirling, galloping

down a riverbed of colored stones.

But honestly,

all I ever really wanted,

was to feed you flowers on a Sunday morn.

Ready

Picked a Plantain leaf before walking,
Tip of Tongue guiding it into place,
Veins and stems, Ridges and edges,
Resin of skin in sun, Breathing in, Breathing out,
A Visceral entity changing,
Molecular patterns rearranging
With every step, With every breath
Where nothing else belongs,
Hina, Tara, Goddess, Essence,
Enlightened spirits gathering,
Light from blue sky, and
Patience from clouds

Seven times for seven eyes, for seven ears
I am here, I am here, I am here,
I am here, I am here, I am here,
I am here,

A student ready for her teacher,
The teacher is already here.

In my mouth—Green and soft, absorbing, releasing.

Note To Self

You are Not the only one left on earth
Though it seems like it,
After fifty years of ocean and land,
constant
journey seems relentless, and
Emptiness flows over.
People fade in and out,
Exhaling
In thought, in presence, in life, in death.

The sound of your heart beats
Under water, on a forest floor,
On mountaintops,
Spilling across the desert sky.
It is the universe inhaling.

And that falling star streaking
into the dark horizon, WAS for you,
it’s flash gasping from your throat,
Where shadows of desperate anticipation
clung to yesterday’s warmth.

You are here for a reason,
If not just to let go
And Breathe Beauty,
Share goodness,
Hope, long, dream, act, write, express,
Teach
For a better world.
Today is the day,
“Now is the time”
Never wait for tomorrow,
To speak
From the heart,
With the rhythm of the earth,
And the love of the universe
Beside you.

Walking Before Morning

Looking up
Into that carpet of stars
How I want to absorb you
Swallow you til’ the darkness
Cools my pain, and the distant light
Ignites the healing of my soul. Let me be yours.
Let me cast my life before you, become clay to the creator
Bury me, fold me, envelope me, transform me, release me,
Because what I want is not always the right path
And what I need is not always the way,
Let me lose myself in darkness,
And allow light in my pores
Allow the universe
To take me
Home.

waiting

If we could sit together,
A warm river running through us,
Stones waiting patiently with only the movement of slow breathing,
And the rhythm of water moving us gently in liquid light,
We could dissolve together,
And the world would be at peace.

Morning Cinquain

Morning
Thick with grey mists,
Serene spirits embracing
My heart, my lungs, my soul reaching
Inward.
